III. BÀI MẪU THAM KHẢO PHẦN IELTS SPEAKING
IELTS SPEAKING PART 1

1. Do you like traditional festivals?

Well, that’s quite an interesting question. I guess I do enjoy traditional festivals because they give me a chance to step away from daily life and reconnect with my cultural roots.

2. What is a popular festival in your country?

If I had to choose one, I would definitely say the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day. It is one of the most meaningful national holidays in Vietnam, as it is closely linked to our historical origins.

3. Do you usually celebrate this festival?

To be honest, I don’t usually participate in the full celebration at the temple. However, I still make it a habit to light incense at home as a way of paying respect to my ancestors.

4. What do people do on this day?

Generally speaking, people tend to gather at Hung Temple, where they take part in traditional rituals, make offerings, and burn incense to honor the Hung Kings.

5. Do young people care about this festival?

That’s a good question. I think it depends, but in recent years, more young people have started to show interest in preserving cultural identity through such festivals.

6. Is it important to keep traditions?

Absolutely. From my perspective, traditions are not just cultural practices, but also a way for people to maintain a sense of belonging within their community.

IELTS SPEAKING PART 2

There are many traditional festivals in my country, but if I had to choose one that is deeply meaningful both culturally and historically, I would definitely talk about the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day. This is not just a public holiday, but rather a symbolic occasion that reflects the roots of Vietnamese civilization.

The festival is held annually to commemorate the Hung Kings, who are widely considered the founding fathers of Vietnam. On this day, thousands of people from different parts of the country make a pilgrimage to Hung Temple, which is located in Phu Tho province.

Once they arrive, they take part in a series of traditional rituals. These include preparing offerings such as sticky rice, fruits, and flowers, as well as burning incense to express gratitude toward their ancestors.

From a cultural perspective, this festival plays a crucial role in preserving cultural identity. It reminds people of their origins and helps them develop a stronger sense of belonging.

Moreover, it also fosters national pride, especially among younger generations who may otherwise be disconnected from traditional values.

All in all, I believe this festival is much more than just a ceremonial event. It is a time-honored tradition that connects the past with the present, allowing people to reflect on their heritage and remember their roots.

IELTS SPEAKING PART 3

1. Why are traditional festivals important?

That’s quite a complex issue, but I would say there are several important reasons.

Firstly, they help preserve cultural heritage, which is essential for maintaining a nation’s identity. Secondly, they provide an opportunity for people to strengthen social bonds and share collective values.

2. Will traditions disappear in the future?

From a broader perspective, I don’t think traditions will completely disappear, although they may evolve over time due to globalization and modernization.

3. How can traditions be preserved?

I firmly believe that education plays a key role. If younger generations are taught about cultural values from an early age, they are more likely to appreciate and preserve them.
